Pilgrimage to the Holy Land
following the footsteps of prophets, Jesus and Holy Family
Day 1 – 04.04 – thursday
Departure from Kopenhaga-Kastrup airport at 15:55. Arrival to Ben Gurion airport at 21:20
(local time) Transfer to the hotel in Nazareth, dinner and overnight.
Day 2 – 05.04 – friday
Breakfast, visit Narazeth: church of st. Joseph, Church of the Annunciation to see where the
Word Became Flesh. Continue up to the Synagogue Church and Mary’s Well.
Drive to Cana where Jesus performed his first miracle. Couples can renew their wedding
vows. In the afternoon drive to Mount Tabor where Jesus was transfigured. Biblical
panorama of Israel. Mass. Return to Nazareth, dinner and overnight.
Day 3 – 06.04 – saturday
After breakfast, drive to Capharnaum where Jesus called St. Peter and many of the other
apostles. Mass. Visit the Synagogue where He healed and taught and see Peter’s
House. Stop at the Mount of Beatitudes to reflect on Jesus’ teaching. Afterwards, go to the
Primacy where He confirmed St. Peter’s mandate after His resurrection, and to Tabgha
where he fed the 5000. In the afternoon take a boat across the Sea of Galilee. Return to
Nazareth, dinner and overnight.
Day 4 – 07.04 – sunday
After breakfast depart for Jericho to see the Mount of Temptations where Jesus was
tempted, mass. Visit the Jordan Baptismal site Qasr el Yahud to renew our baptismal
promises. Drive to take a break by the dead sea, have the opportunity to “float” in the
mineral-laden waters of the Dead Sea. Driving up from this lowest place on earth to
Bethlehem, dinner and overnight.
Day 5 – 08.04 – monday
Bethlehem Nativity Church Where Our Lord was born. Milk Grotto from where the Holy
Family escaped to Egipt. Mass. Shepherd’s Field. Time for shopping. Drive to Ein Karem to
visit the birthplace of St. John the Baptist and then the Church of the Visitation where Mary
went to help her cousin Elizabeth. Yad Vashem- the world Holocaust Remembrance Center.
Drive back to Bethlehem, dinner and overnight.
Day 6 – 09.04 – Tuesday
After a breakfast, drive up on the Mt of Olives and walk down from the Chapel of the
Ascension to the Carmelite Convent where we remember Jesus teaching the Our Father, (
Pater Noster) and continue down to Dominus Flevit where He wept over the city. Admiring
the famous panorama of Jerusalem. Continue down to Gethsemane where Jesus was
praying, where Judas betrayed Jesus, where Jesus was arrested. Drive around the Old City
to St. Peter in Gallicantu where our Lord was held by the high priest when he was arrested,
then up to Mt .Zion to visit Dormition Abbey where “Mary Slept” before visiting the Upper
Room. Drive back to Bethlehem, dinner and overnight.
Day 7 – 10.04 – Wednesday
After breakfast, drive to Jerusalem. Enter to the old city by St. Stephen’s Gate. Enter the
Crusader church of St. Ann’s and the Pools of Bethesda. Pray the Via Dolorosa up through
the Old City to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre: Calvary and the Tomb of Jesus. In the
afternoon walk around the Armenian district: cathedral of st. Jacob and Jewish district: take a
look on the oldest roman road Cardo, built by Cesar Hadrian. Synagogue Hurva, western
wall. Drive back to Bethlehem, dinner and overnight.
Day 8 – 11.04 – thursday
After breakfast, drive to Jaffa: one of the oldest city in Israel, visit the old city, port, st Peter
Church, flea market. Free time, the possibility to swim in the Mediterranean. Drive to the Ben
Gurion Airport. Departure at 22:20.
Day 9 – 12.04 – Friday
Arrival to Conpenhaga at 01:50
